Real hot fudge sauce, the kind that thickens on top of ice cream

Makes 4 cups

Just like you can get at Dairy Queen or McDonalds. No better way to combine ice cream and chocolate.

  • 2 cups 2 cups (400 g) white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup 1 cup (85 g) packed cocoa
  • 2 cups 2 cups (400 g) white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup 1 cup (85 g) packed cocoa

Mix sugar and cocoa.

  • 2 cups 2 cups (640 g) corn syrup
  • 1 cup 1 cup (240 g) 12% cream
  • 2 cups 2 cups (640 g) corn syrup
  • 1 cup 1 cup (240 g) 12% cream

Add corn syrup, cream, and mix. Bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes.

  • 1⁄2 cup 1⁄2 cup (110 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp 2 tsp (10 g) vanilla extract
  • 1⁄2 cup 1⁄2 cup (110 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp 2 tsp (10 g) vanilla extract

Stir in butter and vanilla.
