Spanish Delight is a comforting casserole that combines macaroni, ground beef, and a homemade tomato sauce, topped with cheese for a deliciously baked finish. This dish is perfect for family dinners and is full of flavors that everyone will love. Make sure to prepare the tomato sauce ahead of time for a smoother cooking process.

  • 1 Tbsp (8 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄4 tsp (1 g) salt
  • 3⁄4 cup stewed tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp (14 g) butter

Make tomato sauce. Melt butter. Add flour and salt. Blend and add stewed tomatoes. Stir until thick.

  • 2 to 4 oz. (57 to 113 g) macaroni

Cook macaroni.

  • 0.25 lbs (113 g) ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp green bell pepper

  • 2 Tbsp green bell pepper

Brown beef, add onion, celery & ground pepper.

  • 1⁄2 cup tomato sauce
  • cayenne, to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1⁄2 cup tomato sauce

Combine all ingredients except cheese. Turn into greased casserole dish.

  • 2 Tbsp grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp grated cheddar cheese

Top with cheese.

Bake 15 min at 375 °F.
