A four-wine tasting board with simple charcuterie, fruit, and cheese pairings to plate in separate sections.
This is an easy, mix-and-match wine date night spread built around four classic wines, each paired with a few complementary bites (cheese, charcuterie/seafood, and fruit or something sweet). It’s special because it’s more of a guided tasting than a single dish—perfect for an at-home date night, casual entertaining, or a low-effort appetizer hour. Tip: plate each wine with its own little cluster of foods (mini “sections” on one large board or four small plates), and keep textures varied—creamy cheese, salty cured items, and bright fruit. Serve wines chilled as appropriate and let cheeses sit out briefly so flavors open up.
Pour/serve the Sauvignon Blanc with its paired foods: goat cheese (with cracker and hot honey), melon wrapped in prosciutto, and olives (preferably Castelvetrano).
Pour/serve the Chardonnay with its paired foods: aged cheddar (24 months), smoked salmon, and Honeycrisp apples.
Pour/serve the Pinot Noir with its paired foods: Brie (triple cream), salami, and raspberries.
Pour/serve the Cabernet Sauvignon with its paired foods: Parmesan Reggiano, cherries, and 70% dark chocolate.
Plate it with each wine next to its paired foods.
Plate it with each wine next to its paired foods.
