-
2 lbs
(910 g)
canned salmon

-
1 cup
(120 g)
bread crumbs
-
freshly ground black pepper
-
kosher salt
Mix salmon flakes with dry bread crumbs, salt, and pepper
-
4
(200 g)
large eggs, slightly beaten
-
1⁄3 cup, 2 tsp
(84 g)
mayonnaise
-
prepared horseradish (optional)
Beat eggs slightly and add to the mixture along with mayonnaise and horseradish
Shape the mixture into 6 or 8 patties
Brown the patties on both sides in a non-stick frying pan
- The horseradish is optional. If you prefer less heat, you can reduce the amount or omit it entirely. However, it gives the patties a distinctive taste that stands out.
- Ensure that the frying pan is preheated before adding the patties for the best results.
- You can serve these patties with a side salad for a light lunch or dinner.
- If you're using fresh salmon, make sure it's fully cooked to eliminate the potential risks associated with consuming raw fish.
