Creamy green beans, perfect for a holiday side dish

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1⁄3 cup, 2 tsp (85 g) unsalted butter

Cook butter and onion

  • 1⁄4 cup (31 g) all-purpose flour

Add flour, stir and cook. Remove from heat.

  • 2 tsp (5 g) black pepper
  • 2 tsp (12 g) salt
  • 2 tsp (8 g) sugar
  • 2 cups (460 g) sour cream

Stir in seasonings and sour cream.

  • 56 fl. ozs. (940 g) canned green beans

Fold in beans.

Place in lightly greased 2L dish.

  • 2 cups (230 g) grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (78 g) corn flake crumbs

Cover with grated cheese and corn flake crumbs.

  • 1⁄4 cup (56 g) unsalted butter

Sprinkle with dots of butter.

Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
