Creamy green beans, perfect for a holiday side dish

  • 0.25 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp, 1 1⁄2 tsp (21 g) unsalted butter

Cook butter and onion

  • 1 Tbsp (8 g) all-purpose flour

Add flour, stir and cook. Remove from heat.

  • 1⁄2 tsp (1 g) black pepper
  • 1⁄2 tsp (3 g) salt
  • 1⁄2 tsp (2 g) sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup (110 g) sour cream

Stir in seasonings and sour cream.

  • 14 fl. ozs. (240 g) canned green beans

Fold in beans.

Place in lightly greased 2L dish.

  • 1⁄2 cup (56 g) grated cheddar cheese
  • 1⁄4 cup (19 g) corn flake crumbs

Cover with grated cheese and corn flake crumbs.

  • 1 Tbsp (14 g) unsalted butter

Sprinkle with dots of butter.

Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
