Chocolate Hot Fudge Sauce

Real hot fudge sauce, the kind that thickens on top of ice cream

Makes 2 cups

Just like you can get at Dairy Queen or McDonalds. No better way to combine ice cream and chocolate.

  • 1 cup 1 cup (200 g) white granulated sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup 1⁄2 cup (43 g) packed cocoa
  • 1 cup 1 cup (200 g) white granulated sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup 1⁄2 cup (43 g) packed cocoa

Mix sugar and cocoa.

  • 1 cup 1 cup (320 g) corn syrup
  • 1⁄2 cup 1⁄2 cup (120 g) 12% cream
  • 1 cup 1 cup (320 g) corn syrup
  • 1⁄2 cup 1⁄2 cup (120 g) 12% cream

Add corn syrup, cream, and mix. Bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes.

  • 1⁄4 cup 1⁄4 cup (57 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp (5 g) vanilla extract
  • 1⁄4 cup 1⁄4 cup (57 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp (5 g) vanilla extract

Stir in butter and vanilla.
