• 3 cups 3 cups (700 g) heavy cream
• 3 cups 3 cups (730 g) whole milk
• 2 cups 2 cups (400 g) white granulated sugar

Heat cream and milk and sugar in a saucepan over low heat until the sugar dissolves, and cook until bubbles form around the edge of the pan.

Remove from heat, scrape inside of vanilla bean into saucepan and put vanilla bean into the saucepan, and let cool for 30 minutes.
